Last Injection Day

Current: 262
Previous: ? I forgot...its been a while since I posted. :P

Recap:
Okie dokie. This round rocked hard even though I deviated just a bit. I even had a Krystal cheeseburger one day....I KNOW SO BAD!!!! I think the kitty cat on my blog site got to me. So anywho...here are my stats.

Total Loss: 30 lbs in 21 days
Total Inches Lost: 19 inches

Not bad for a short and sweet round! I have to stop now due to upcoming events (lunch meetings, family reunions, vacations, etc.) I want my body to be on low carb for a bit before venturing out into the world of "other food". :P
OKAY BIZ!! Time to kick it up! R3 Bootcamp...here I come. :P

(After my three days of VLCD of course) :D

Love you all!

VLCD Day 8; Injection 11

Current: 270
Previous: 271
Loss: -1

So I mentioned previously that I want to share with all of you about a couple of experiements I am currently conducting with my body in regards to meals.
Ever since Round 3 (two rounds ago) I started looking a protein in a new way. Dr. Simeons tells us in P & I that we are to eat 3 oz. or 100 grams of meat per meal and not a bite more. Well not according to my body. I will explain:

After several members lovingly showed me a website that I use to input foods eaten and it will calculate fat/cals/protein for you based on your entries. The site is fitday.com. It not only gives you numbers or percents of each but it shows you a pie chart allowing you to visually see the ratios of the fat/cals/protein in comparison to one another.

What my body has been telling me over the last few rounds is if I eat at least 50% protein and stay under 550 cals a day I will lose very quickly. My body loves protein! This means that at times I do have to eat more than 3 oz per meal a day. I usually snack on roasted chicken or tuna instead of veggies or fruit.

I have also increased my fluid intake substantially. I think this is another key to a successful round. I keep water bottles filled and I drink tons of hot tea. Yes, I still promote Dandelion tea. :) For those who do not know, it promotes proper kidney functions and helps you release excess water (fluid retention). Being that I have been overweight for so many years, my body has a tendency to "hold on" to fluid and toxins. Dandelion is a natural detox. You can find this tea in your local grocer or online

So question, how are you doing with protein? Do you tend to eat more or even less? Also can you tell your loses fluctuate with the types of foods consumed?

Take care!

VLCD Day 6; Injection #9

Current: 275
Previous: 278
Loss: -3

Wow! I think there is something to be said about mixing your own HCG injections. Now, I am very appreciative for my former supplier and the fact they were able to counsel me on a few subjects regarding the injections themselves. BUT I have noticed that my weight loss is significant this round compared to others.

My total loss this round is 17 lbs in one week. That is a record for me ladies and gents. I am simply injecting Pregnyl mixed with Bach water at a rate of 175 IU daily. Thanks for all of you You Tubers out there as well that show us mixing newbies how to mix correctly. :) It really helped to calm my nerves.

So I am also doing a couple of other experiments this round that I will go into later but they have to do with how the food is prepared and the ratio of protein to fat/carbs.
Since this is round 5 I am giving my body full voice of what it needs. If I feel my hair becoming brittle I might cook with a very small amount of EVOO. So far I have not seen negative side effects.
**Disclaimer---I do NOT recommend those new on the protocol to use any ingredient other than the ones listed by Dr. S himself. Again, since this is my 5th round I have learned how to listen VERY well to my body and what it can/can not handle.**

And when I say little amount folks I am talking about just coating the pan and draining extra out in the sink. It would equal less than 1/2 of a teaspoon. And I do not do this daily.

I am drinking more fluids this round and it seems to be helping. :)
I will write soon about my "test" topics and would love to hear stories from your end! Take Care

VLCD Day 6 Injection #8

Current: 278
Yesterday: 280
Loss: -2
Inches lost in 6 days= 9 inches total
________________________________________________________

Menu: Curry Apple Chicken Salad-YUMMO! I ate this at both meals because I did not feel like cooking. :P

Recipe: (This makes a large batch: Serves 4)
1 Small Roasted CHicken; pull meat from bone and chop into small pieces
2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1/2 Cup Chopped Celery
1/2 Cup Chopped Apple
2 Boiled Eggs Chopped
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Stevia to taste

I found this is a great low fat meal that really boosts protein. Since I have been doing HCG I notice the more protein I eat the faster I lose. But I do try to stay as close to the 3 ounce limit as possible.

VLCD Day 4 Injection #6

Current: 280
Last Weight: 285
Loss: -5 overnight

Well Well Well. Nice losses there if I may say so myself! 12 lbs total in 3 days. Sweet! I feel much better now. The first few days were kinda hard but not unusual. I typically experience the same sensations with each round. It is simply my brain fighting the "good stuff". I experience nausea, headaches, severe muscle aches (see Dr. S' muscle fatigue statment in Pounds and INches), moodiness, breakouts on skin (acne), and hunger. Okay some might say this is bad but I say, "Good people of HCG land this is a simple case of modern psychosis that stems from my high levels of laziness and self sabotoge. IN other words its all in my head. Now the muscle fatigue is not but since it is normal I do not worry. I am always stronger in the end due to this and I actually welcome the achy muscle feeling. It means the HCG is kickin ass! Woohoo!

I am sitting here forcing myself to eat. It is 3:15 Central time and I have not eaten a bite except for coffee and water today. Not good! I have been in meetings all day and have not had a chance to stop. I am munching on tuna with field greens, green peppers, onions, brocolli, cucumber and strawberries. YUM! No worries I had the exact same salad yesterday and still lost 5 lbs.

Hugs all around and keep up the good work gang!

VLCD Day 2; Injection #4

Current: 285
Yesterday: 292
Loss: -7 lbs

I always love my first week because I lose like a mad woman! :) So far the injections seem to be solid. I am not experiencing extreme hunger at this point in the game which is a refreshing difference from my last round. (For 5 days I used injections that had expired and this cause severe hunger. As a result I gained almost 15 lbs! Yikes!)

Dinner was okay yesterday though I had to heat up some roasted chicken to make up for calories. I dont like doing this often but sometimes one has to. :) I have found that my body responds very well to protein. I lose quicker with higher levels of protein. I got in 82 grams yesterday but only at 486 calories total.

I hope everyone is doing well!
